I think he's writing my text and love poems for the industry
Giving the hottest vocalist my lyrics
So they can in turn sing what my heart keeps sacred
Secretly suggesting to me this is simply a love affair
Between me and my heart,
However he has and wants no part in it
I know better
I tell myself to move on
I begin to
Until,
I taste him on the tip of my tongue
Smell his essence on the bridge of my upper lip
I am there again
In the middle of the garden
Searching for reasons
Not to reach for the tree of knowledge
Into a world I want to be a part of
His world
The world I existed in before
I found myself lost inside words that made no sense,
However made hearts weep
Metaphors, Prose and Similes surrounded me
When truth is: what I needed most eluded me
Reminding me of the reality I understood
Before confusion played a part and
Everything around us became a conflict of interests and
Strikes against all others morale
I no longer search for reasons not to reach
I decided to stand still
His reason reached me
Morally, I know this to be true:
We want what we want, and
What we want is us, however
We're forbidden fruit
