I only have one suggestion for now. I don't know why I grabbed the tambourine and brought it with us to my aerobics class. When we got in the car, my daughter (6yrs old) requested that I put on Kindred's Dance Remix of Rhythm of Life. She knew it was number 19 on the CD. I obliged and then the fun began. My daughter started beating her tambourine along with the song. At a light I borrowed the tambourine from her to demonstrate & teach her to be aware of the 4/4 count in the measures of the song. (We love 4 on the floor). I played a little at the light and a guy next to me and his boy were amused at me beating the tambourine at the light to the music. At least we put a smile on someone's face (we were driving through downtown Newark, NJ--folks can use some cheer around here).

After the demonstration, my daughter went in. She started singing along while beating the tambourine on beat and showing awareness of the changes in the recording. We laughed and had a good time in the car. Its the little things that make life grand, and give you a minute to bond and reconnect with your kids.

I'm about to keep 2 tambourines in the car for when I'm sitting in bumper to bumper traffic during rush hour going across the GW bridge to & from work. One for her in the back, and one for me. The light up getting down at the Shelter in the 90's tambourine. I want to start a "Tambourine at the stop light movement" to foster chuckles and smiles in those who are walking around/or driving while miserable.

Anybody with me?
